To reach this cemetery from Florence, take Cox Creek Parkway and turn north onto AL 17 (Chisholm Road); go 6.3 miles and turn right on Lauderdale 83; go 1.1 mile and turn right on a gravel road; go 0.05 mile to the cemetery. The cemetery has a fence around it. This cemetery has both white and black people buried in it. The part that has the black graves in it is in the woods and is grown up. The white part is well cared for. It is shown on some maps as a cemetery, and is listed on some as Piney Grove Cemetery. I was told by some people that have been living in this area for a long time and have several of their family buried here, that Pine Grove Cemetery is the correct name. The legal description is NE4, NW4, Sec 36, T1s, R11w.
