I am looking for information John SasserVINING and Mary JaneDAVIDSON. She is believed to be from Franklin County, AL and born possibly 1847. They married in Athens, AL on July 11, 1864 and had three children, John, Betzy and Ludie. Ludie is believed to have married a man by the last name ofBARNES. John Sasser VINING next appears has having served in the 3rd TN Calvary and moving to Yalobusha County, MS after the war. He remarried in December of 1879 in MS. This would be my line. Nothing further is known about Mary Jane and their children. If anyone has any information on her or her children. I would really appreciate hearing from you. Their children were; Hosea HUMPHRIES my grandfather and Olan, Lother HUMPHRIES. I know this much. Benjamin Humphries married Liddie(Lydia)Taylor. and they owned land somewhere around forty acre in Franklin Co. What years they lived there, Dates of birth or Places of birth and their Parents all unknown to me.

FUTRELL, SCITZS/SCYTZS I am interested in any infor on Futrell's that were in Franklin Cty., Ala.in the 1800's . My ggrandfather,Andrew Jackson Futrell was b. 17 May 1828 in Franklin Cty.,Ala. I am looking for his parents and siblings. I do not know how long they were in Franklin Cty. But do know that Andrew was in MS in 1848 and then back to Ala. in the late 1800's as one of the his girls (Texanna Futrell)md. my grandfather, James M. Hitchcock in Lauderdale Cty., Ala. 1877.Another, sister,Margaret Futrell md. James' brother John Hitchcock in 1879. Andrew then went to Hardin Cty., TN and onto Brookland,Ark where he is buried.
