I am searching for information about theDICKSON andBRACKIN families. Horace M. DICKSON, my great grandfather was born in Franklin County March 15, 1846. I recently discovered him in the 1850 Franklin County census at age 4 with his mother Ann D. DICKSON age 40, an Araminto DICKSON age 17 whom I assume is his sister. Also in the household is Sarah M. BRACKIN age 67. I know he had a sister Harriet, but she must have left home by this time. There probably were other siblings and a missing father somewhere. Ann DICKSON and Sarah BRACKIN were both born in North Carolina. Horace and Araminto were born in Alabama. I am interested in any information about these two families, especially the name of Horace's father.
