Searching for parents of Millie B. Richardson. According to the 1850 - 1860 - 1870 Franklin County, AL census records, she was born around 1810 in North Carolina. Her date of birth is reported by some researchers to be 7-29-1810. On October 18, 1827 Millie married Joseph Birdwell Landers in Lawrence County, AL which is next door to Franklin County. Millie and Joseph had the following children: Eli Landers Burlina Landers Sarah Ann Landers Martha Jane Landers Semantha Landers Rufus H. Landers (H. is reported to stand for Henry) I have been unable to locate any Richardsons in this area before the year 1830. On the 1830 Lawrence County Census is a Josiah "Richerson". This census lists: Male 15-20 years - 1 Male 20-30 years - 2 male 50-60 years - 1 Female 05-10 years - 1 Female 10-15 years - 1 Female 60-70 years - 1 The Landers family into which Millie B. Richardson marries came to North Alabama from Granville County, NC. by way of Eastern Tennessee. It could be possible that the Landers and Richardson families came from the same area in North Carolina. Listed on the 1850 Census living next door to Millie are: Eda Richeson Age 73 Female Farmer $200 North Carolina William Age 44 Male Farmer North Carolina Martha Age 14 Female Alabama On the 1860 Census listed in same household Wm. F. Richardson Age 54 Male North Carolina Anyone with any information which would help me in my search for the parents of Millie B. Richardson, please share with me at clanders@hiwaay.net. Any info I have will be shared likewise.

Surnames: EATON WILLIAMS LONG HUNNICUTT CROW GARVIN CORBIN TOWNSEND MCKINNEY Samuel Kimsey EATON, and Judia WILLIAMS EATON and family, appear in the 1860 Franklin CO Census on page 661, entry 897. That area had a PO listed as Newburg, and was in the Eastern Subdivision. Samuel is listed age 53, occupation farmer b. SC, Judia is age 49, b. TN. The other EATON names listed in household are; Sarah A. age 27 b. GA, Emaline age 25 b. GA, Martin age 15 b. GA, John age 12 b. GA, Louisa age 12 b. GA, Judia jr. age 9 b. GA, Samuel K. age 20 b. GA. Also listed with this family is James FERGUSON age 3 b. GA, and Samul FERGUSON age 2 b. AL. We have no idea if they were babysitting or if these children could be grandkids? Samuel and Judia were in GA before migrating to AL, were said to be panning for gold. Family notes say: they lived in Eatonton, (which straddled Franklin and Lawrence CO by the forestry, this town of Eatonton, can be viewed on old Atlas maps 1885-1889), a Samulel EATON was said to be Postmaster, and Samuel and Judia EATON, are said to be buried at an Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, which is said to sit right on the edge of the forestry. Does anyone have any knowledge of this unknown cemetery? By 1870, Samuel and Judia Eaton appear in the Winston CO Census, the area where their oldest son William Aylor EATON and wife Rutha Katey LONG EATON with family were living. The son Samuel K. Eaton, is on the Civil War Muster Roll, CO A 27th AL Infantry, married Dorthy GARVIN, and was over in Tishomingo CO MS, in 1870. Would certainly appreciate > ANY information that could be shared on this family, their ancestry, descendants, Oak Grove Baptist Church and Cemetery and etc. Please email if connected. ancestry, descendants

Would certainly appreciate some help in finding out more about WILLIAM LEANDER BYRD, his wife MARGARETT PERIDEAUX, son JOHN A. BYRD and his wife ALICE BEDFORD. They are my Grand and Great Grandparents. It appears that they were in Mississippi, then to Alabama at Frankfort, Franklin County, then to Milam County, Texas. All I know for sure is that Great Grandaddy William Leander spent 4 years in Roddy's 4th Alabama Cavalry during the Civil War and returned home to Franklin County. The trail is cold there except for when Margarett applied for his Civil War pension. I can't even find the birth of my Grandpa John nor marriages etc. Please help if you can.

Mahuldah Cobb Williams removed to Franklin Co., AL by 1840 with her brother, Asa Cobb, and her minor children. Williams, born c1827; Reuben Williams, born c1829; and Francis Williams, born c1831. Reuben and Francis died between 1840-1844, but the other four children were still living. No trace of them has been found in the 1850 Franklin Co. census, in spite of the fact that Deborah R. Williams filed a land deed in Morgan Co. in Oct 1850, stating that she resided in Franklin Co., AL and was selling her interest in the estate of her father, Reuben Williams. Asa Cobb was apparently a wealthy man, with over 40 souls listed on the AL state census. Where is this family?

I need Lucinda's maiden name. Evaline and William James were the parents of my grandfather Drewey G. James. Also searching for the parents of Houston Fisher or "Bud" Fisher. Bud married first Laura Yocum. They were the parents of my grandmother Florence Fisher James. Laura died soon after Florence was born and he remarried someone by the name of Mary. Also looking for Laura's parents. They were Yocums. Florence had a grandmother who was a Yocum or a Fisher who was considered a "doctor" in her time. She would ride horseback through the mountains of Tenn. and Kentucky to help people. Does any of this sound familiar to any one? I would greatly appreciate any information that anyone might have on any of this family. All of these people died in Franklin County, Russellville, AL. Thanks, Carlene ccgrimes@bellsouth.net
