1. William S.4 BERRY (John3, Humphrey2, Samuel1) [1] was born January 16, 1804, in Jackson Co, GA [2], and died February 06, 1881, in Fayetteville (Fayette), Fayette Co., AL.  He married Sarah NELSON, January 31, 1822, in Jackson Co., GA, (daughter of Silvester NELSON and Margaret WILEY).

 Sarah J.5 BERRY.  She married John COLLIER, February 13, 1845, in Fayette Co., AL.

 John Nelson BERRY, born September 26, 1823, in GA; died March 13, 1883, in Fayette Co., AL.  He married Elizabeth MOORE in Fayette Co., AL [3].

 Nancy BERRY, born May 15, 1825 in Fayette, GA; died November 26, 1906, in Fayette Co., AL.  She married George Washington BRAZIL [3].

 William BERRY Jr., born June 06, 1842, in Berry, Fayette Co., AL; died June 12, 1913, in Fayette Co., AL.  He married Mariah G. CULPEPPER, September 20, 1868, in Fayette, Fayette Co. AL [3].

 Cinthia BERRY, born March 08, 1844, in Berry, Fayette Co., AL; died April 23, 1899, in Fayette Co., AL.  She married Albert DOBBS.

 Wilburn Tarplin BERRY, born March 16, 1850, in Fayette Co., AL; died June 23, 1926, in Antlers, Pushmataha Co., OK.  He married (1) Emma N. COLLIER, February 12, 1874, in TX.  He married (2) Fannie FULLERTON, September 19, 1883, in Fayette Co, AL.  He married (3) Dorothy Elizabeth FOWLER, October 30, 1884.

Notes for William S. BERRY:  His will was probated Feb. 9, 1887, in Fayette Co, AL.

2. Sylvester W.5 BERRY (William S.4, John3, Humphrey2, Samuel1) [1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8] was born 1829 in Limestone Co. AL [1], and died December 21, 1903, in Dalberg, Roff, Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory (now OK).  He married Sarah Redman JOHNSON, July 07, 1852, in Fayetteville, Fayette Co., AL [1, 3, 9], (daughter of JOHNSON and Sarah REDMAN).

Notes for Sylvester W. BERRY:  He enlisted as a Private in Company L of the 1st Alabama Cavalry, USA, on September 25, 1863, in Fayette County, Alabama.  He was discharged in Rome, Georgia, on September 29, 1864.  Sylvester BERRY deserted on January 10, 1864, from Camp Davies and  returned to Camp Davies on January 22, 1864.  He was given extra orderly duty by the acting orderly seargent.  Sylvester got out when his time had expired [9, 10].  By profession, he was a farmer [5].

Notes for Sarah Redman JOHNSON:  She became completely paralyzed and died from a lesion of the central nervous system.  She was buried at Hereford Cemetery.

New [11] Some researchers suggest that Henry B. BERRY married Elizabeth FARQUHAR, 11 Sep 1866 in Fayette Co., AL.  However, the evidence proves that Elizabeth actually married Henry T. BERRY on that date.  Henry T. (1843-1935) was the son of William C. BERRY and Massa Ann TOMPKINS.
