Old Fayette Post Office

Jimmy Emerson Sat Jun 7 12:56:56 2003
Hi, My query isn't exactly related to geneology.  I live in Jackson Co AL and my hobby is to get a picture of each post office in the state of Alabama.  I just recently read that Fayette had gotten a new post office and that the old one was a historic building.  I was wondering if anyone had a picture of the old post office that I could get a copy of.  I'd pay for reprints and postage.  thanks.

Don Moore Sat Jun 28 12:14:45 2003
I am looking for a copy of the Will of William Moore who died on or about November 26, 1871 in Fayette County, Alabama.  I have found an excerpt of this will in the book Fayette County Alabama Marriage and Probate Records compiled by Betty Wiltshire which states that the actual will is in the Fayette County Alabama Will Records Book 1, Volume 1-A (1869-1873) Page 80.  I would also like a copy of the Probate court Minutes which accompany the probating of this will and found in the Index to Probate Minutes Records and Wills (1851-1975) by Herbert Moses Newell that the book in which thia might be found is the Probate Court Minutes 1 Oct 1866-2 Sept 1875.  If anyone knows where these books are located and who I would need to contact in order to get copies of these, please let me know. My e-mail address is [email protected].  Thank You
