Silverhill Teen Earns Eagle Scout

     Ryan Thomley, 16, son of Michael and Gayle Thomley of Silverhill, has been awarded the rank of Eagle Scout.

     Steve Pumphrey, Scoutmaster, made the presentation on Sept. 8, 2012 at Silverhill First Baptist Church.

     Ryan is a member of Troop 42 sponsored by the Silverhill First Baptist Church. Troop 42 Leaders are Steve Pumphrey, John Robbins, Larry Ried and James Smith.

     Ryan coordinated a service project to construct an online record and photographing headstones for the database of the Silverhill Cemetery Organized Universal Transcript (S.C.O.U.T) Eagle Project with the help of his troop, friends, family and cemetery members, Elvin Ewing and James Smith.

     Ryan is a junior at Robertsdale High School and a member of the National Honor Society. Grandparents are Angelo and Shirley Thomley, Uriah, Bertha and the late Shirley Rogers of Baraga, Mich. Ryan�s brothers are Seth and Colton Thomley of Silverhill. Ryan joins his brother Seth as an Eagle Scout. Eagle Scout is the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scouting program of the Scouts of America.
