Obituaries are considered a secondary source. Not as accurate as a death certificate, but certainly a wonderful resource for trying to learn more about your family.
In the early 20th century, Lackawanna obituaries were somewhat hit or miss. Sometimes wonderful, but often very sketchy, with spellings all over the board. A person might not be in the paper at all, or be listed in three different places in a single day.
