Bessie Vuksanovich, 84, of Burgettstown, died Saturday, 18 Mar 2000, in Weirton (W.Va.) Medical Center. She was born 17 Nov1916, in McKeesport, a daughter of Samuel and Emily Mamula Visnich. Mrs. Vuksanovich was employed as a cook at Atlasburg Elementary School until her retirement. She was a member of Burgettstown Veteran of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving are a daughter, Martha Herzick of Mesa, Ariz.; four brothers, William Visnich of Avella, George Visnich of Weirton, Ted Visnich of Slovan and Rudy Visnich of Cincinnati, Ohio; two sisters, Sadie Stipanovich of Youngstown, Ohio, and Olga Pirillo of Slovan; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Deceased are a brother, Milan Visnich; and a sister, Zarie Hennan. Memorial service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 29, in Hayden-Taucher Funeral Home, 23 Erie Mine Road, Burgettstown, with the Rev. Richard J. Tusky officiating. At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation. Other arrangements will be at the convenience of the family.
