Mrs Anna Hennigan Sample, 113 Potter St, Dunmore, wife of James L Sample, died this morning in State Hospital following a brief illness. A lifelong Dunmore resident, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Marie Hennigan. Mrs Sample was a member of St Mary's Church in Dunmore & its societies. Additional survivors are a son, Joseph, at home; a sister, Mrs Leo Manley of Dunmore; two brothers, John, Dunmore Police Desk Sgt; and Francis of Buffalo, NY; and four grandchildren. Funeral will be from the O'Donnell Funeral Home, 2025 Green Ridge St, Dunmore, at a time to be announced

A short illness proved fatal yesterday at Blakely Home to James L Sample, 113 Potter St, Dunmore. Mr Sample was born in Elmhurst and resided in Dunmore for sometime. He was an Erie Railroad conductor prior to his retirement in 1926. Mr Sample was a son of the late Mr & Mrs John Sample. He was a communicant of St Mary's Church, Dunmore & a member of its Holy Name Society. Surviving are a son, Joseph of Dunmore; a sister, Mrs EL Farley of Scranton; a brother, George of Dunmore; and four grandchildren. The funeral will be Thursday at 9:00 from the O'Donnell Funeral Home, 2025 Green Ridge Ave, Dunmore, with mass at 9:30 at St Mary's. Interment, Mt Carmel Cemetery, Dunmore

Joseph P Sample, 113 Potter St, Dunmore, was dead on arrival at Community Medical Center Friday evening after being stricken ill at home. He was the husband of the former Marion Kingdom. Born in Dunmore, son of the late James L & Ann Hennigan Sample, he was a graduate of Dunmore High School & until his retirement in 1972, he was employed for 31 years by the Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company in the bakery division in both Scranton & Flushing, NY. He was a member of St Mary's of Mt Carmel, Dunmore, and its Holy Name Society. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs William Keisling of Harrisburg, whose husband is the executive secretary of the Greater Harrisburg Movement, and Mrs James Cady, Encinitas, CA; two sons, James K, a teacher in Montrose, and Joseph P Jr of Red Lion; 14 grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. Funeral will be Tuesday from Albert P O'Donnell Funeral Home, 2025 Green Ridge St, Dunmore; St Mary of Mt Carmel Church; Mt Carmel Cemetery, Dunmore

Miss Margaret Jean Sample, two month old daughter of M/M Joseph Sample, 113 Potter St, Dunmore, died yesterday at home, following a three day illness. Mrs Sample was the former Marion Kingdom. Also survived by two sisters, Elaine & Marion. Private funeral services this aft at home; Mt Carmel Cemetery.

Marion R Sample, formerly of Dunmore, died Monday at Dallastown Nursing Center. She was the widow of Joseph P Sample who died 7 June 1974. Born in Scranton, daughter of the late William & Margaret Geraghty Kingdom, she was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School & a former member of St Mary of Mt Carmel Church, Dunmore. Surviving are two sons, James of Hartford & Joseph of Red Lion; two daughters, Elaine Keisling of Harrisburg & Marian Cady of New Orleans, LA; 14 grandchildren; 21 g grandchildren; nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret Jean Sample; three brothers, William, Richard & Arthur Kingdom; & four sisters, Lillian Fries, Ethel Kingdom; Theresa Connerton; & Elsie Richards. Funeral Thursday from the Albert P O'Donnell Funeral Home, 2025 Green Ridge St, Dunmore; St Mary of Mt Carmel Church, 322 Chestnut St, Dunmore; Mt Carmel Cemetery, Dunmore.
