Mrs Agnes K O'Connell, 2010 Green Ridge St, Dunmore, died Friday at home after an illness. Her husband Hazlett died in 1949. Born in England, she was the daughter of the late John & Marion Barth Gerrity (sic). She was educated in St Patrick's Parochial School & was a member of St Mary of Mt Carmel, Dunmore and its Altar & Rosary Society. Surviving are five sons, Howard of Scranton, John & Edgar, both of Dunmore, Robert of West Pittston, & Joseph of Richfield, NJ; three daughters, Mrs John McAndrew, Mrs Harold Kearney & Mrs Joseph Dolan, all of Dunmore; 21 grandchildren, 19 g grandchildren, nieces & nephews. Funeral Monday from the Albert P O'Donnell Funeral Home in Dunmore with masss in St Mary's Church; St Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow.

Edgar J O'Connell, 1114 Grandview St. died Monday at home after an illness. His widow is the former Ann Gallagher. Born in Scranton, son of the late Hazlett and Agnes Gerrity O'Connell, he was a graduate of Dunmore High School. Prior ro his retirement he was employed by the Lackawanna Co Housing Authority. He was an army veteran of WWII and received the bronze star and purple heart medals. He was a member of St Mary of Mt Carmel Church & its Holy Name Society. Also surviving are three sons, Michael of Covina, CA, William of Lake Ariel, & Spec 4 John O'Connel of Ft Steward, GA; three daughters, Mrs Patricia Sheehan of Dunmore, Mrs Mary Lou Mecca of Peckville, & Mrs Margaret Carrick of Scranton; three brothers, Howard of Scranton, Robert of West Pittston, & Joseph of Moscow; two sisters, Mrs Harold Kearney & Mrs Joseph Dolan, both of Dunmore; seven grandchildren, nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by a brother John & a sister Mrs John McAndrew. Funeral Thurs from the Albert P O'Donnell Funeral Home, 2025 Green Ridge St, Dunmore; St Mary of Mt Carmel Church; Cathedral Cemetery.

Hazlett J O'Connell, 2010 Green Ridge St, Dunmore, died this morning at home after a brief illness. Born in Richmond, VA, Mr O'Connell resided in Dunmore a number of years. He had been employed by the Scranton Transit Co for 30 years and retired some years ago. Mr O'Connell was a member of St Mary's Church, Dunmore, and its Holy Name Society, was the son of the late James & Elizabeth O'Connell. Surviving are his wife, the former Agnes Gerrity (sic); three daughters, Mrs John McAndrew, Mrs Harold Kearney, and Mrs Joseph Dolan, all of Dunmore; five sons, Howard of this city, John & Edgar, both of Dunmore, Robert of West Pittston, and Joseph of Newark, NJ; a sister, Mrs Leslie Bosher of Richmond; two brothers, James and Raymond of Richmond; and 14 grandchildren. The funeral will take place Tues friom the family home with a requiem mass at 9:30 in St Mary's Church. Burial, St Catherin'e Cemetery, Moscow.

Howard J O'Connell, 84, of 113 S Webster Ave, died Friday in St Barnabus Medical Center, Livingston, NJ, where he'd been a patient since an accident in Aug. His wife, the former Mary Jordan, died in 1975. Born in Scranton, son of the late Hazlett & Agnes Geraghty O'Connell, he was a self-employed electrician & a member of Nativity of Our Lord Church & its Holy Name Society. He was previously employed by Precision Engineering Co & CN Excavating. Also survivng are a son, James of Gaithersburg, MD; a daughter, Mrs Jane Finnerty of Houston, TX; two brothers, Robert of West Pittston & Joseph of Moscow; two sisters, Lillian Dolan & Theresa Kearney, both of Dunmore; seven grandchildren; two g grandchildren; nieces & nephews. Several brothers & sisters preceded him in death, and a daughter, Marian, died in 1971. Funeral Monday from the August J Haas Funeral Home, 202 Pittston Ave; Nativity of Our Lord Church; Cathedral Cemetery.

Survived by a daughter, Mrs Louise Dalpiaz of Binghamton, NY; four brothers, Howard of Scranton, Edgar of Dunmore, Robert of West Pittston & Joseph of Moscow; three sisters, Mrs Madeline McAndrew, Mrs Theresa Kearney & Mrs Lillian Dolan, all of Dunmore; three grandchildren; nieces & nephews.
