Surviving her daughter [Anna] only four months, death claimed Mrs Anthony McDonald, a well-known and highly respected resident of Dunmore this morning at home, 262 E Pine St, from pneumonia. The former Beatrice Hennigan, daughter of Patrick Hennigan of E Drinker St. Survived by her husband; children, James, Thomas, Jerome, Marie, Lucille, Helen & Mildred; her father; and siblings, Mrs James Sample, James, Patrick, John, Francis & Mary Hennigan. [another sister, Mrs Leo (Catherine) Manley was listed as a survivor in the Republican, but omitted in the Times. Her brother, Michael, should have been listed as a survivor as well]

James F McDonald, a former Scranton resident, died Sun in the VA Hospital, Lock Raven, MD. Born in Dunmore, son of the late Anthony & Bridget Hennigan McDonald (sic - have always seen it before as McDonnell), he graduated from Dunmore High School and served in the US Army during the Battle of the Bulge in WWII. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs Harold Reap & Mrs Eugene Harney of Scranton; nieces & nephews. Funeral Thurs from the McGoff FH, 1401 Capouse Ave; St Paul's Church; Cathedral Cemetery
