  1. Gallagher, Rev John P; A Century of History: The Diocese of Scranton 1868-1968, Scranton: The Diocese of Scranton, 1968, pp149, 552. Msgr Gallagher refers to St Aloysius as being in both Ralston and Trout Run.
  2. Meginness, John F, editor, History of Lycoming County Pennsylvania, 1892, www.usgennet.org/usa/pa/county/lycoming/history/Chapter-43.html states that Catholics were holding services in the Ralston school, while www.usgennet.org/usa/pa/county/lycoming/history/Chapter-42.html has no mention at all of Catholics in Trout Run, but this is four years prior to the establishment of St Aloysius' and according to Meginness, Ralston is a village in McIntyre Twp, immediately north of Lewis Township, where Trout Run is/was located.
