Alaska Scenery

Alaska's Geographical Regions

It is often said that there are no more frontiers to explore.
Alaska is the great exception

Alaska has lush-drenched forests and barren wind-swept tundras. There are lofty mountains, still active volcanoes, and spectacular glaciers, as well as millions of lakes and swamps.

Alaska — something new, something different and something very rare always awaits around the next bend in the river or twist in the trail.

To look upon Alaska, is to appreciate its fierce and unforgiving majesty.

Alaska covers an area of about 586,000 square miles. The coast line of 26,000 miles is longer than the coast of the contenental United States.

Alaska can be divided into six principal regions.
