A copy of the "Register of Marriages" which was filed in Montgomery Co., VA shows her name as "Elizabeth Kiddy". Those signing this application are Henry Young and George Vinyard.

------a Jacob Kiddy did in fact marry Sally Niceley September 1808 in Rockbrdige Co. VA - just 2 years before this census was taken. The one daughter under 10 does agree with the census and marriage record that was found.

My name is Jeff Kitzler- my wife, Kim, grew up on a farm in Minor Hill, TN. Recently, her parents deeded to her a portion of that farm, which contains the remnants of a small cemetary, lost in the woods and overgrowth. A couple of headstones are still in place, bearing the name "Kiddy". A search for Kiddy and Minor Hill turned up your geneaogy site- we thought that you might be interested in the attached photos- one of which is Lewis Kiddy's headstone.
