McKENZIE, W. - D25/2/1862 - At Bentinck Square, Kingston, St. Vincent, on the 25th February last. - of debility, resulting from a severe attack of ------lignant fever - W. McKenzie, Esq., last surviving son of Mr James M'Kenzie, Rosebank, Cairnryan. Mr M'Kenzie was the oldest and most experienced planters in the above island. He was for many years a member of the House of Assembly, and at one time he filled the office of Speaker of the House, and had been a member of the Executive Council. In private life Mr M'Kenzie was very much respected, and the large number of labourers who came in from the several estates in the neighbourhood to attend his funeral testified their high estimation of him as a master.
