Welcome to New Mexico African American Griots Project! We are proud to be the  representatives for the State of New Mexico. We are part of the United States African American Griots Special Project and the USGenWeb Project. Griots is pronounced "greeohs".

 
The influence of the African American in New Mexico history has been documented in history. The Buffalo Soldiers proud and tough defenders of Freedom. Please contribute any records, music, history, family history photos, or stories that you may have access.
