St. Mary's is of Pennant stone, with Cotswold stone roofs. It has a magnificent Perp west tower, of three stages, with different-coloured freestone dressings and diagonal buttresses. The tall, slim, blind windows in the middle stage have image niches with small projecting ogee-cusped canopies, and crocketed pinnacles. The stair-turret spirelet and pierced parapet was rebuilt in 1896 by W.D. Caroe. The 13th C church incorporates part of the Norman fabric. The interior walls are lime-washed. The chancel was restored in 1879 by Ralph Nevill. It has deep yellow encaustic tiles.
The font is 15th C - an octagonal bowl with quatrefoils. The stained glass east window is by Burlison & Grylls, circa 1879.
