St. James is mainly Early English and Perp. It was restored in 1884 by Pope & Paul of Bristol. The Perp west tower has diagonal buttresses, and an embattled parapet with pinnacles. The nave has a narrow south aisle and a broader north aisle. There is a south arcade of three bays. The piers are octagonal and have feet at the four corners and moulded capitals. The north arcade also has three bays, with slender shafts to the piers and a continuous Early English hood-mould. The font is a Post-Reformation octagonal bowl with well proportioned stem. The windows are mostly Late Dec. The east window has geometrical tracery.
