St. Mary's consists of a chancel, nave, north transept, and a sturdy three-stage west tower that has diagonal buttresses, gargoyles and big pinnacles. The font is Late Dec and has a shallow octagonal bowl with each face of the chamfer carved with two four-leafed flowers. The octagonal pesdestal has attached circular shafts. The font cover is engraved plate-glass by Bryant Fedden, 1974. There is some good stained glass 16th C panels incorporated in the windows. The nave retains its panelled Perp roof. The walls are scraped - work done during the restoration in1884 by J.E.K. Cutts. There are some chest tombs in the churchyard, one with lyre-shaped carved stone ends.
