St. Arilda's church occupies a hilltop site commanding wide views over the river including the Severn bridges and Oldbury Power Station. Apart from the tower and porch, the church was rebuilt by Waller in 1899. The north-east tower is Perp with a pierced parapet, pinnacles, gargoyles, and diagonal buttresses. The north porch is also Perp, with a panelled parapet and image nich. The 19th C building consists of a nave with north and south aisles, arcades of four bays without capitals, and a chancel. The walls are textured plaster. The font is a replica of the Norman font destroyed by a fire in 1897. There is some Art Nouveau stained glass in the east window.
