St. Bartholomew's was rebuilt by S,S. Teulon in 1861-63, apart from the Perp tower of 1470. The tower has three stages, with a higher north-east stair-turret, diagonal buttresses, battlements and gargoyles. The west doorway is Tudor with leaf carving in the spandrels. Teulon's church consists of nave, north aisle, chancel, south vestry, and a long north porch divided into outer and inner compartments. The arcade has three bays with low, pointed arches, flush abaci. The capitals and responds are chamfered from an octagon into a cylinder. The chancel arch springs from foliage corbels. The nave has a wagon roof. The font is by Teulon and consists of a hexagonal bowl, chamfered down on to a central pillar with six surrounding shafts. There is stained glass in the church by Lavers & Barraud, 1863.
