St. Andrew's dates from the Early 11th Century but most of its archaeological interest was destroyed in the drastic restoration of 1866 by the amateur architect Rev. W. H. Lowder. The tower is generally of the Perpendicular style with diagonal West buttresses, Perpendicular bell-openings and an embattled parapet.

The font is Norman and has a plain cylindrical bowl. The shaft of the bowl is probably of a later date. There are stained glass windows in the church by Ward & Hughes - 1870's; Lavers, Barraud & Westlake - 1880; Clayton & Bell 1882-85; Heaton, Butler & Bayne - 1890; and Burlison & Grylls - 1912-15. The lych gate dates from 1900. A feature of the churchyard is the length of thick hedge, through which passes the entrance pathway to the South porch.
