St. Mary Magdalen's church is one of the ancient churches on the edge of the Forest of Dean, six hundred feet above the River Wye.
The church has a Norman nave; an Early English chancel; and a North transept that was enlarged in the 16th Century. The East Window - behind the altar - is by Horace Wilkinson. The font is an Early 13th Century octagonal scalloped bowl on a circular pedestal.
