St. Edward's consists of chancel, nave with south porch, and west tower. The Early Perp tower is embattled and has short pinnacles and gargoyles. There are angle buttresses on the lower stage with small canopied and crocketed niches; and bell-openings with crocketed ogee hoodmoulds. The font is chalice-shaped and dates from circa 1764, though the top band of trefoils is 19th C carving. There are wall monuments in the church, and illustrated here, to Rev John Tucker, Mary Anne Tucker, Andrew Kinsman; George Townsend; Anne Stratford, Henry Stratford; Rev John Courtenay Campbell; John Daniel Thomas; Rev J. Newport and his wife Fanny Newport; and a WW1 war memorial to A.B. Cobbett, F.S. Groves, A. Palmer, C.B. Privett, T. Peachey and J. Timbrell.
