St. Mary's is 12th C with Late Norman nave and chancel. The north aisle was added in the 15th C and the west tower rebuilt in the 18th C. The Norman chancel arch has a double band of chevron moulding and outer jamb shafts with small scalloped capitals. The north aisle is Perpendicular style with a three-bay arcade and octagonal piers. The church tower, built between 1749 and 1752 has three stages, angle pilaster buttresses, battlements and pinnacles. The font is a 19th C copy of the Norman font at Lasborough. Witcombe's 15th C font was given to St. Andrew's at Churchdown.
