St. John the Baptist's is built of rubble with a Cotswold stone roof. Although 12th C in origin, it was largely rebuilt in 1873. It has a cruciform plan with a broad central tower. The upper stage of the tower, marked off by a stringcourse, is 15th C. There are angle buttresses rising halfway up the tower, battlements and pinnacles. In the church there is a blocked north doorway with decorated spandrels. The walls of the church are limewashed internally and the font is 15th C restored. There is stained glass in the east window by Clayton & Bell, 1882.
