St. Mary's Church has a Saxon and Norman nave, Norman chancel and a 15th Century tower.
Drastic restoration to the church was undertaken in 1869-72, probably by Sir William Tite. The internal walls were scraped at this time.

The triplet group of stepped lancet stained glass windows at the East end dates from the 19th Century. This is the work of James Powell & Sons circa 1876. The font is of the Perpendicular style and has an octagonal bowl with quatrefoils and a truncated panelled stem. The stained glass depicted in detail here is by Edward Payne - some installed in 1957 and some in 1978.
