At Daglingworth the Church of The Holy Rood is an important Saxon church with some well preserved Saxon stone carvings built into the walls. The Saxon Crucifixion tablet dates to 1015. The other Saxon tablet shown here is Romanesque in style, pre-Conquest and possibly dating back to the 9th Century. The ornate chest tomb in the churchyard is that of Timothy Webb who died in 1721. There are some stained glass windows in the church by Burlison & Grylls. Daglingworth House is next door to the church.
