St. Nicholas church was a possession of Llanthony Priory until the Dissolution. Originally Norman, it has a mid 13th C chancel, west tower and sout transept. The tower has three stages with battlements but no buttresses. The top stage is later - probably late 16th C. Above the north doorway is a reset Norman tympanum with two affronted lions. The font is a Norman tub-shaped bowl on a two-tier stone pedestal. The nave windows date to 1881 and are by Waller & Son. There is stained glass in the church - the east window is by Clayton & Bell, 1927; and there are others by Hardman 1927, and James Powell & Sons 1865.
