Deed Putnam County, WV Volume 12 pp 5-7 This deed made this the 22nd day May 1884 between Peter McCallister and Rebecca his wife, James McCallister and Margaret his wife, Richard Byrneside and Nancy his wife, Jackson McCallister and Eliza his wife, John Nicholas and Florence his wife all of Putnam Co., West VA parties of the first part and Ann Hensley, Sallie McCallister and Rebecca McCallister of Putnam Co. West Virginia parties of the Second part. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar cash in hand paid by the parties of the second: the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged by the parties of the first part. The parties of the first part have this day bargained and sold to the parties of the second part and by these presents sell and convey all of their entire interest in the dower of Elizabeth McCallister, widow of Joseph McCallister, dec. the same being her dower claim in the land of her husband Joseph McCallister dec. intestate in Curry District Putnam Co., W Va. of the Trace Fork of Mud River and bounded as follows to wit: Beginning at a birch and sugar tree corner to lot No. 2 and leaving the same S 7 IV25poles to a white oak newar a drail of S14 E174 poles to a stake corner to lot No. 5, thence with same S86 W114 to beech corner to lot No. 4 & 59 with No 403 thence N8" e67 poles to a stake and same course 67 poles to a small black oak on the old line corner to lots No. 3 2 & 1 and with the line of lot No. 2 S66 & 115 poles to Sugar tree and beech at the place of beginning containing 62 a, and the parties of the first part covenant with the parties of the second part that they will warrant especially the properties by hereby conveyed.
