[Abreviations have been expanded] WEES, Peter, VA Line, S1734, soldier was born in 1762 in Hardy Co VA & he lived there at enlistment & he lived there several years after his service, then moved to Bath Co., VA for 15 years, then moved to Montgomery Co., VA for several years, then moved to Sevier Co., TN for 2 years, then moved to Cocke Co., TN for 1 year, then moved to Roane Co., TN in 1823 & he applied there 24 July 1833. WEESE, George, VA Line, S7850, soldier was born on the South Branch of the Potomac River in Hampshire Co., VA & he lived there at enlistment & afterwards moved to OH, he applied 22 April 1834 in Jackson Co., OH aged 70. WEESE, Michael, VA Line, S39121, applied 30 August 1824, Greene Co., TN aged 72, soldier lived on the South Branch of the Potomac River in Hampshire Co., VA at enlistment, in 1824 soldier had a wife & 6 young children at home with the youngest child "at the breast," soldier's widow Elisa Weese made affadavit 11 May 1830 in Greene Co., Tn & stated soldier lived in Hardy Co., VA & she stated soldier died 20 April 1829. |
