Anna Zelma Vanscoy |
25 Mar 1981 Anna Zelma Vanscoy, 67, a resident of Norton for the past 10 years, died at 12:45 Monday at Memorial General Hospital in Elkins. She had been in failing health for several years. She was born Dec. 29, 1913, in Barbour County, a daughter of the late Samuel F. and Flossie Swick Ware. She was married to Harlen Vanscoy who preceded her in death Jan. 30, 1973. Surviving are three daughters; Mrs. Sidney “June” Galloway of Norton, Mrs. Lowell “Carolyn Mae” Gettys of Mt. Wolf, Pa., and Mrs. Sam “Joan” Lawrence of Belington; one son, Robert Neil Vanscoy of Manchester, Ten..; three sisters, Mrs. Thelma Ware of Belington and Mrs. Austin “Ann Clair” Blake Jr. of Junior; five brothers, Theodore, Denzil, Gerald, and Kermit Ware all of Belington and Otis Ware of Pa.; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. One son and one grandson preceded her in death. Mrs. Vanscoy was a member
of the Kynette Methodist Church of Norton and Harding. |
