Squire B. Kittle, 94, a former resident of East Dailey, passed away Sunday Morning, Oct. 22, 2006, in Nella’s Nursing Home Inc. at Crystal Springs.

Squire Bosworth “Bosy” Kittle, 94, a resident of East Dailey and for the past four years, a resident of Nella’s Nursing Home at Crystal Springs, passed away at 4:02 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 22, 2006, in the nursing home.
He was born Feb. 14, 1912, at Adolph, a son of the late Simeon Benjamin Kittle and Rena Jane Goss Kittle.
Mr. Kittle was a veteran of World War II, having served his country with the U.S. Army in New Guinea. He received both the Asiatic Pacific Ribbon and the American Defense Metal.
During his tour in Australia, he met and married the former Annie Cowan McDiarmid, formerly of Mannum, South Australia, who survives. They had celebrated 63 years of marriage.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, Squire I. Kittle and wife, Mona, of Mill Creek, Janet M. McCloud and husband, Danny, of East Dailey, Robert W. Kittle and wife, Linda, of Warren, Ohio, Barbara A Kazulen and husband, Tony, of Uniontown, Pa., and Donald John Kittle and wife, Pam, of Alliance, Ohio. Also surviving are two sisters, Lenora Kidd and husband, Richard, of Pharr, Texas, and Betty Kimbrew and husband, Dennis, of Elkins; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were three brothers, Cecil Wilbert Kittle, John Elbert Kittle and Floyd Feaster; and six sisters, Emma Vivian Kittle Derricott, Geneva L. Kittle Schafer, Icie Fae Kittle, Anne Elizabeth Oetting, Reva Kittle Shannon and Rouy Kittle Pritt.
Mr. Kittle worked at Moore and Keppel as a timber cutter and worked at Labcraft in Beverly until his retirement. He loved to hunt and fish at his home place on Kittle Creek. He enjoyed carpentry work and made figurines and furniture for his children and grandchildren.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, at Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins. At 7 p.m. Wednesday, a service will be conducted in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Bernard Teter officiating. Presentation of the U.S. flag will be made by members of H.W. Daniels Post 29 American Legion of Elkins. At Mr. Kittle’s request, his remains will then be cremated. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care Corp., P.O. Box 760, Arthurdale, W.Va. 26520.
