Rosa Ellen Weese, 87, a resident of Beverly, passed away at 6:40 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2005, in Valley Head.

She was born on June 7, 1917, in Valley Head, a daughter of the late Marvin Jesse and Zeddie Hamrick Simmons.

On Dec. 21, 1958, at Youngstown, Ohio, she was married to Elam B. Weese, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are one brother, Sherman Simmons of Kansas; one sister, Olive Arbogast of Mill Creek; one half sister, Lucile Hogan of Ohio; several nieces and nephews including, Delmas D. Sharp and wife, Shirley, of Valley Head, Roger D. Sharp and wife, Joan, of Valley Head and Valerie Danzig and husband, Bob, of Elkins.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Homer Simmons; one sister, Sylvia Sharp; one half sister, Jennie Currence; and one half brother, Wilford Simmons.

Mrs. Weese was a homemaker and loved the outdoors and gardening. She was Methodist by faith.

Friends may call from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Mark Greaver officiating. Interment will follow in the Valley Head Cemetery.
