KITTLE
- MRS. ELIZABETH M. KITTLE. daughter of Absolom and Mary Shifflette,
was born January 8, 1851, in Upshur County, West Virginia and departed
this life September 22, 1886 at her home near West huttonsville, Randolph
County, West Virginia. She joined the Methodist Episcopal Church
South in 1866 at Huttonsville. She was married to Squire B.
Kittle May 13, 1867. This union was blessed with ______ whom
in it's infancy preceeded her to the Celestial throne while her husband
and seven children are left to mourn their great loss.
Although Mrs. Kittle life was not the writers privilege to know her
in person, but from abundant testimony given by those who lived near
her during her short stay in this life, she was indeed a blessing
to the community in which she lived, and her pure and beautiful character
cause her to be loved by all who knew her. She had been delicate
several years proceeding her death and suffering _______ _______,
but bore it all with the patience and courage so befitting the christian
character. Several days before she died she was to weak to
talk ________, the last moments were calm and peaceful and she quietly
fell asleep in the embrace of her loved Savior at about 5:00 o'clock
_____, September 22nd. There is no doubt that her pure spirit
is now in communion with her angel babe, on the Celestial Throne where
she will watch and wait the coming of her beloved husband and remaining
children, and if they will prove faithful to the God she loved and
served so, they will meet again, and while eternity wheels its destined
flight they will dwell together in sweet communion. May God
bless and guide them in the right way so that they may have a happy
reunion on the sunny banks of sweet deliverance.
