Katherine Kittle, 75, a resident of Elkins and a patient in the Good Samaritan Center in Belington, passed away at 2:35 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, 2006, in the center.
She was born Jan. 17, 1931, at Grafton, a daughter of the late William C. and Madeline Skillman Powell. In 1951, she was married to Delmar Kittle who preceded her in death.
Surviving are a son, Brad Kittle and wife, Judy, of Elkins; a brother, John Robert “Bob” Powell of Richmond, Va.; and four nieces and nephews.
Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Thomas Davis and William C. Powell Jr. and wife, Dorcas Barb Powell.
Mrs. Kittle was a graduate of Elkins High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Elkins.
At the request of the deceased, her remains will be cremated. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Flowers are to be omitted. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, 315 Kerens Ave., Elkins, W.Va. 26241, in memory of Mrs. Kittle. Conley will officiate and interment of the cremains will follow in Elkins Memorial Gardens, formerly the IOOF Cemetery. Flowers are to be omitted.
