Dawne June Jones Kittle, 38, of Philippi, died Thursday,
Jan. 5, 2006, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown following a brief
illness.
She was the beloved wife of R. Matthew Kittle, superintendent of Barbour
County Schools, and the adored mother of three precious children, Hallie
Dawne Kittle, Dahlton Matthew Kittle and Mateah Breian Kittle.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home, 216 N. Walnut St.,
Philippi, on Monday, Jan. 10, from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Family will be
present from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from
8 a.m. until 11 a.m.,the service hour, with pastor Doug Hogan officiating.
Interment will follow in the Restlawn Memory Gardens in Ansted. Wright

Dawne June Jones Kittle, 38, of Philippi, was called
to heavenly service Jan. 5, 2006, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown,
following a brief illness.
She was the beloved wife of R. Matthew Kittle, superintendent of Barbour
County Schools; and the adored mother of three precious children, Hallie
Dawne Kittle, 11, Dahlton Matthew Kittle, 10 and Mateah Breian Kittle,

Dawne was born at Ft. Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas on May 11, 1967,
the oldest daughter of Lyle and Brenda Boggess Jones of South Charleston.
In addition to her husband, children and parents, she is survived by two
brothers and sisters-in-law, Lyle Jones II and April of Greer, S.C., and
Owen and Melanie Jones of Key Largo, Fla.; one sister and brother-in-law,
Denise and Sam Faber of Kenna; and maternal grandmother, Doris Boggess
of New Cumberland. She is also survived by aunts and uncles, Willard and
Diana Jones of South Charleston, Robert and Charlotte Jones of Cypress,
Ill., Rhena Cook of Charlotte, N.C., Tom and Karen Jones of Ballwin, Mo.,
Beverly Weaver of Weirton, Joy and David Schoolcraft of New Cumberland
and “Bucky” and Patty Boggess of Toronto, Ohio. Additionally,
she is survived by a sister-in-law, Marian Price of Fairmont; father-in-law
and mother-in-law, Robert and Marianna Kittle of Bridgeport; and nephews
and nieces, Trey, Zachery, “Little O” Owen, Alexa and Riley.
Preceding Dawne in death were her maternal grandfather, Richard Boggess;
paternal grandfather, B.T. Jones; paternal grandmother, Mary Elizabeth
Jones; and cousin, Tracy Cook.
A 1985 graduate of South Charleston High School, Dawne continued her education
at Fairmont State University and West Virginia State University, completing
an associate degree in medical laboratory technology and a four-year degree
in medical technology, respectively.
Dawne began her professional career as a medical lab technician at Charleston
Area Medical Center in Charleston and as a laboratory director at Doctor’s
Hospital in South Charleston. She later worked at Davis Memorial Hospital
in Elkins as a medical technologist. Following that, she was a medical
laboratory sales representative and consultant for INFOLAB. Her next position
was as lab director at Medbrook Medical Associates in Bridgeport, and
in 1995, she became the chief operating officer for Premier Medical Group
in Clarksburg. Leaving Premier in 2005, she returned to INFOLAB in her
current position of regional territorial manager serving northern West
Virginia, southwestern Pennsylvania and western Maryland.
Dawne was a coach for Rising Start Gymnastics in Philippi and enjoyed
bowling on the Philippi and Clarksburg bowling leagues. She was a multi-talented
woman who loved country music and collected Precious Moments and anything
that had a cow on it. Family was the focus of Dawne’s life, and
she will be forever loved and missed by them. She was a devoted wife and
nurturing mother, and she leaves many memories for her children and husband
to cherish. She attended Living Waters Christian Missionary Alliance Church
in Philippi.
Visitation and fellowship for family and friends will be from 2 p.m. to
8 p.m. today at Wright Funeral Home at 216 N. Walnut St. in Philippi,
with the family present from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral
service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, at the funeral home with
the Rev. Doug Hogan officiating. Graveside service will follow at approximately
3 p.m. at Restlawn Memory Gardens in Ansted. Wright Funeral Home services.
