24 Jun 2004 Arnold Jackson Weese, 83, a resident of Beverly, passed away Wednesday morning, June 23, 2004, at Swisher Private Home Care in Elkins following a two-month illness. He was born Feb. 4, 1921, in Beverly, the son of the late Grover Cleveland Weese and Dovie Kerns Weese. In July 1949, he was married to the former Lorene Stalnaker, who preceded him in death in 1973. He is survived by one son, John Lee Weese of Beverly; and two daughters, Linda Maxine Phillips and husband, Frank, of Elkins and Susan Diane Blankenship and husband, Joe, of Beverly. Also surviving are two brothers, Richard Weese of Baltimore, Md., and Harold Weese of Elkins; and three sisters, Juanita Altieri of Elkins, Mary Ann Monroe of Fairmont and Mary Lou Kimbleblot of Chicago, Ill. Six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive. One brother, Truman Weese, and two sisters, Cleo Keller and Louise Weese, preceded him in death. Mr. Weese was a veteran of World War II and served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Columbia Gas Transmission Corp. of Elkins. He was an avid outdoorsman. Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today
at the Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins. Funeral services will be at 2
p.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Walter H. Blough
officiating. Interment will follow at Elkins Memorial Gardens. In lieu
of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Blanchette
Rockefeller Neurosciences Institute, P.O. Box 9301, Morgantown, W.Va.
