Charles Scott son of John Scott Sr. and Mary Eunice Sproul was born in 1791 in Lancaster County, PA. He married Agnes Kittle daughter of Herbert Richard Kittle and Margaret Elizabeth White the widow of John Stalnaker. When Agnes died, Charles married Jane M. Kittle another daughter of Herbert Richard Kittle and Margaret Elizabeth White. I have been unable to prove that Charles and Jane M. were married, this is a guess on my part. Charles was a farmer and he attended the Presbyterian Church.

Charles and Agnes's three children were:

1. *John Kittle Scott born May 17, 1818 in Randolph County, (West) Virginia. He married Rachel Skidmore ca 1843 in Randolph County, (West) Virginia. He died October 26, 1883 and is buried next to his wife Rachel in the Scott Family Cemetery near Norton, WV. John K. and Rachel had eight children.

2. Richard Scott born ca 1820 in Randolph County, (West) Virginia. He married Melvina ? in Braxton County, (West) Virginia. Richard and Melvina had six children.

3. Ann Scott born January 31, 1822 in Randolph County, (West) Virginia. She married her cousin, Crawford C. Scott. She died July 22, 1898 and is buried next to him in the Scott Family Cemetery near Norton, WV. Ann and rawford had nine children.

Charles and Jane M.'s two children were:

1. Isaac Scott born 1836 in Randolph County, (West) Virginia. He married Mary O'Conner. Isaac and Mary had eight children.

2. James Beeks Scott born 1839 in Randolph County, (West) Virginia. He married Maglin V. Griffith on September 17, 1863. Maglin was born April 12, 1842 and died April 6, 1887. James and Maglin had six children.

 

John Kittle Scott born May 17, 1818 in Randolph County, (West) Virginia. He married Rachel Skidmore ca 1843 in Randolph County, (West) Virginia. He died October 26, 1883 and is buried next to his wife Rachel in the Scott Family Cemetery near Norton, WV. Rachel died October 31, 1899 at Roaring Creek Junction, Randolph County, WV.

John K. and Rachel's eight children were:

1. Jefferson Scott born 1844 in Randolph County, (West) Virginia. He died in 1870 Randolph County, (West) Virginia. He married Susan C. Wilson.

2. Charles J. Scott born September 24, 1846 Randolph County, (West) Virginia and died August 16, 1894, he's buried in the Scott Family Cemetery near Norton, WV.

3. Hugh Scott born February 3, 1847 in Randolph County, (West) Virginia and died April 29, 1883, he's buried in the Scott Family Cemetery near Norton, WV.

4. James S. Scott born 1849 in Randolph County, (West) Virginia. He married Rebecca Hill.

5. John J. Scott born 1854 in Randolph County, (West) Virginia. He married Nancy Ann Scott (his cousin) in 1880.

6. Oliver Scott born 1851 in Randolph County, (West) Virginia. He died 1871 and is buried in the Scott Family Cemetery near Norton, WV.

7. Winfield Scott born 1852 in Randolph County, (West) Virginia.

8. *Edwin Skidmore Scott born January 8, 1859 in Randolph County, (West) Virginia. He married Cora Lee Kittle, daughter of George W. Kittle and Mary Frances Shelton, July 4, 1891 in Barbour County, WV. He died on March 18, 1921 in Randolph County, WV. He is buried next to his wife, Cora Lee, in the Scott Family Cemetery near Norton, WV.

Edwin Skidmore Scott born January 8, 1859 in Randolph County, (West) Virginia. He married Cora Lee Kittle, daughter of George W. Kittle and Mary Frances Shelton, July 4, 1891 in Barbour County, WV. He died on March 18, 1921 in Randolph County, WV. He is buried next to his wife, Cora Lee, in the Scott Family Cemetery near Norton, WV. He was a farmer and contractor. He and Cora Lee attended the Presbyterian Church.

Cora Lee Kittle was born January 15, 1868 in Barbour County, WV. She died May 31, 1913 at their home at Roaring Creek Junction, Randolph County, WV.

Edwin S. and Cora Lee's eight children were:

1. Stephen Benton Scott born June 28, 1892 in Randolph County, WV. He died in December 1966 in Randolph County, WV. He is buried in the Scott Family Cemetery near Norton, Randolph County, WV.

2. *Russie Scott born April 17, 1894 in Randolph County, WV. She married Waitman Conley Smith on November 2, 1914 in Elkins, in Randolph County, WV. She died May 10, 1952 at their home on Laurel Moutain Road outside of Elkins, Randolph County, WV. She is buried beside her husband in the Scott Family Cemetery near Norton, Randolph County, WV.

3. Rachel Scott born January 15, 1897 in Randolph County, WV. She married ? Hyre. She died in Phillippi, Barbour County, WV.

4. Herbert Clinton Scott born November 4, 1898 in Randolph County, WV. He married Elsie ?. He died in Elkins, Randolph County, WV.

5. Edwin Lee Scott born February 14, 1901 in Randolph County, WV. He married Mary ?. He died in Norton, Randolph County, WV.

6. Hazel Francis Scott born June 9, 1904 in Randolph County, WV. She married ? Kenner. She died in Morgantown, Monongalia County, WV.

7. George Adam Scott born August 10, 1905 in Randolph County, WV. He married Josephine Prichard. He died September 28, 1964 in Painesville, Lake County, Ohio. He's buried at the Maplewood Cemetery in Elkins, Randolph County, WV.

8. Hester Scott born January 19, 1910 in Randolph County, WV. She married ? Hurst. She died January 1969 in Bridgeport, Harrison County, WV.
