This is Simeon Slack, the brother of my ancestor Ransom Slack.
 

Simeon was born in Orleans County VT. The photo was taken in North troy, VT, and as far as I know he lived his entire life in the US. Siblings were Ransom, Abel, Erastus, Joseph, Ruth, Orphenia, and Clarinda.
