- Is my gg-grandfather Joseph Pendleton (1818 - 1906)the son
of The Rev. Joseph Pendleton (1781 - 1839) and his second wife
Nancy? The Rev. ran a small private school which he called the
Middle Fork Academy 2 miles west of Seven Mile Ford in Washington
Co. (abt where the Town of Chilhowie now stands). The Rev. had
8 children by his first wife and 2 by his second, Joseph & John.
My Joseph ended up in Texas.

They divorced Dec,1820 in KY. But my info indicates he also married
a Nancy DEBUSK January 29, 1804 in Washington Co. VA. Would appreciate
verification of latter marriage from anyone doing CARSON/MEEK/DEBUSK

- James b.1755 and Esther GOFF Brown I am researching this
line in the Washington / Wythe / Tazewell / Buchanan Co. Areas.
Land grants show James and Esther owned land on Maiden Springs,
Sinking Creek, Greenbrier, and Kentucky lands.Their descendants
(Thomas Brown, son and James P. Brown , grandson) had lands on
Big Fork Ridge (Brown's Ridge??), North Fork Levisa River, Laurel
Fork Creek, Dismal Creek, Seng Camp Creek. Anyone with any information??

- Thomas Saddler married Jane White, 4 Mar 1794, in Washington
Co, VA. Migrated south as son, William W., born 1795 in NC.,
by 1797 settling in what is now Wilson Co TN. Thomas died in
Battle of Chalmette, New Orleans, 8 Feb. 1815 (War of 1812).
Where were Thomas Saddler and Jane White Saddler from originally?
Anyone else researching these families? Does anyone know of the
first Saddler/Sadler family that arrived in US? Would love to

- Looking for information on Samuel Buchanan.He was son of
John and Jane (Prindle) Buchanan of Scotland. The genealogy chart
indicates Samuel came to Pennsylvania, then to Virginia and died
in Washington County where he died in 1774. He had four sons

- I looking for information on Andrew Ellis. Married a Josephine
Hamilton. Had a son named William Charles Ellis born in 1898
William married Bessie Faidley in 1919 they had 1 daughter Margaurette
L Ellis was born in Bristol Virginia in 1920. Bess's mother and
father where Ida Grubb and Tom Faidley. Ida parent were Elizabeth
Cline and Edward Grubb. Thomas Faidley parents were madaline
Hines and Zebby Faidley. I believe they all resided in virginia
at one time or the other

- My paternal grandfather, Isaac Worley(?) Mitchell was born
in Washington County, VA in 1865 and died in Russell County in
1954. He married Macedonia (or Massa Donia or Donia) Taylor in
1888. He was a farmer all his life. The couple moved to Russell
County and had fourteen children, the youngest of whom was my
father, Ralph "Bob" Mitchell (1918-1973), who lived
near Lebanon, VA. I would appreciate any information about Isaac's
parents or other relatives, and anything about his early life.

Martha Ann Helen OWENS. This couple were married in Sullivan
Co., TN 6 Sept. 1865 but lived in Abingdon & Bristol, Washington
Co., VA in the 18870's & 1880's, where their children were born:

Eliza. The family relocated to MO in 1885.

- KINGREE - I am looking for my ancestor, Henry Kingree/Kingory/Kingery.
He was listed on the 1820 and 1830 census records. He may have
been married to an Elizabeth (Peggy) Waite. According to a deed
transaction in 1806, he sold the last of his property in Shenandoah
County and was "residing in Sullivan Co. TN". However,
I have not found any information for him in Sullivan. Just the
two census records in Washington co. Does anyone have any information
on this couple? Possibly have books of old marriages, deeds,
births, etc. and would be willing to do a look up for me????

- I am looking for the funky name of Epperson Bryant. There
is an Epperson Bryant married Elizabeth Betts in 1833,that is
listed in the Smyth Co. early marriages. I know that Washington
Co. was one of its parent counties and I am trying to find Epperson,
Joseph, or Sarah Bryant possibly from Washington Co. Surely someone
has seen this unique first name.

- John Haden married Nancy Gianniny Dec 24, 1793 in Albermarle
Co., VA. They supposedly moved to Washington Co, VA in 1803 along
with John's father, George Haden, and his brother Isaiah Haden
(who had married Polly Spears in Albermarle Co, VA in 1798).
If you have some information on this Haden (Hayden) family please
contact me. Also, does anyone know if Haydon and Hayton are the
same original surname?
