Hi! I am looking for my gr, gr, gr grandfather Lewis Davenport in Washington Co, VA. Lewis Davenport was born in Virginia in approx 1800-1810. Does anyone know if Lewis is related to Thomas Davenport who is listed in the 1820 census as head of household? Lewis married Mary Harris in Sumner County,TN in 1829, and may have been maried earlier to Cecelia Wheeler. Thank you, Steve.

White of Johnson Co., Tn. (John R. White married Nancy Smithpeter of Johnson Co.TN). Am seeking any information available on Richard White, his wife, his children, date & place of birth/death & marriage. In an 1857 court case in Johnson County, James Bradley (1777-1857) of that county states that John R. White is his second cousin. I am seeking parents of my James Bradley who was born in Virginia c1777 and any ties he may have to the White & Loyd families.

Nov 9, 1859; twins Mattie A. and Mary Jane "Mollie", b. May 19, 1862. Mary Jane m. Isaac J. EDMONDSON. One contradiction is one site has Eunice's death date as 13 July 1849. So is this in error or is William, her son instead of Rebecca's?

JOHN LIVINGSTON b. ca 1750's .....known to have lived in Knox and Wayne Co.,KY^...had land there and alos probably died there around 1820...there is a land dispute on the deed books that lists his heirs as: ROBERT LIVINGSTON, NANCY (MARY) ALLEN, ELIZABETH SCOTT...I believe that Robert & Elizabeth are siblings, but I have found evidence that Nancy(Mary) LOGSTON was the widow of ARTHUR LIVINGSTON...when she married JOHN ALLEN in Wayne Co.KY 1805...I'm wondering if John & Arthur Liv. are one in the same person?? BRADLEY, JAMES & LOYD, RUTH Does anyone have any information regarding James Bradley who married Ruth Loyd (born c 1765, probably at Frederick Co., VA). Ruth Loyd was the daughter of James Loyd (born 1737 in Virginia, probably Chesterfield or Montgomery County) and his wife, Ruth. James Loyd removed to Carter County, TN; their children were John Loyd who married Sarah Smith; Mary Loyd who married Josiah Terry; Dytha Loyd; Levi Loyd, born c 1757, married Abigail "Abbey" Hale, and removed to Carter Co., TN; Esther Loyd married James Storm. Am interesting in find out who the children of James Bradley & Ruth Loyd are and what happened to them. It is believed that James & Ruth removed to Kentucky with her sister, Esther Loyd & her husband, John Storm. This family is related to Richard White & his wife, Eleanor Martin, who lived at Washington County, VA.

I am looking for information on John Gross. Born abt. 1750, and died in Washington County, Virginia on 1822. He was married to Barbara Widener, and had these children: Elizabeth, Isaac, Jacob, Sarah, Edmond, Lucretia, Margaret, Richard, Abraham, Dorcas, John Jr., and Mary. Does anyone have information on any of these children? I am also wondering if it is possible get a pension file on John Gross...He did serve on the Washington County Milita. Also there were other Groce's in Washington County during the late 1700s. A William Groce, and a Dr. Gross. I am wondering if these are also related to John Gross. I am also wondering, if any one knows actually where John Gross's property was on the south side of the south fork of the Holston River. Did that part of Washington County, Virginia become the State of Tenneesse. How would I find out?

I'm looking for information on Issac Norris md Catherine Henderson. Whose son David Norris was born Jan 22, 1867 in Washington Co, VA. I think they lived in Washington Co until they moved to Pike Co, IL in 1881/82. I'm not sure of the exact date of the move, I have heard they moved when David was 15 yrs old.
