The Central Rappahannock Heritage Center now has records online! Go to the CRHC website and click "data online". It will take you to the search page. The information now online is just a partial amount of that contained in the Heritage Center but more that is being added every day! Come take a look...
The Central Rappahannock Heritage Center located at 900 Barton Street in Fredericksburg, VA. They have collections from Caroline County, Fredericksburg, King George County, Spotsylvania County and Stafford County. They get more collections in every day and it would be worth it to check and see what they have. If you can, stop by... The staff is more than happy to help! Come by and volunteer! They would love the help. You can also e-mail them at [email protected] or call them at 540-373-3704. They will do research $10.00 per half hour.
They are open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 10 to 4. And beginning Nov 1, 2008, they will be open the first Saturday of every month from 9 am to noon.

Stafford County History
Founded in 1664, created from Westmorland County and named for the English County of Stafford, Stafford County, Virginia, has strong connections to events that shaped our nation's history. It was at Marlboro Point, that Indian Princess Pocahontas was kidnapped and taken to Jamestown. Another historical figure also made Stafford his home. Augustine Washington, with the rest of his family, including a six-year-old son named George, moved to Ferry Farm in 1738. The future first president spent his formative years there until he reached young adulthood
