Liberty Bell
in Fort Worth, Texas
|
Liberty Bell The Liberty Bell was in downtown Fort Worth in 1915. The day was declared a holiday and over seventy thousand attended a parade in downtown Fort Worth that also included thirty themed floats. This old photo is from my mother-in-law's collection. I am also putting together a short article and photos about James Brassfield Martin and his family who came to Tarrant County in 1866 and settled in southeast Fort Worth in the Forest Hill area. Their family farm of some 450 acres survived in the family until about 1946 or so when it was sold. When I am done with the article, I will send it along with photos of this early Tarrant County settler and family. All these things are provided by Helen Elizabeth (Martin) Beeman, the great grand daughter of James Brassfield Martin.
