There is no date or publisher listed. The following dedication
is listed.
TO THE VETERANS OF WORLD WAR II:
This book has been dedicated to those men
and woman who lost their lives in the second World War, and is
it also intended to be a lasting record of the services of those
men and women from Red River County who have served their country
during this greatest of all wars. All who took part have made
many sacrifices in order that our way of life may be preserved.
Note: While every effort was made at the to
make this a complete record, some have been left out. I find
that the entries are not entirely alphabetical, so if you don't
find someone, look at a few pages before and after.
Thanks to Jim Giddens for allowing me to use
his copy of the book for copying.
The colored soldiers are listed in the next
section. Again, there is a notation that although an effort was
made to obtain all the names, they are not complete.
