Want to know more about my family, any help is appreciated. Interested
in more stories about the traveling shows that used to come through
Kimble Co., and other areas. My father used to play his guitar and sing
with them when they would come into town as a young man to make a little
extra money, but am sure he would have done it whether paid or not and
probably sometimes did. Willie D. McCoy b. Mullin,Mills,Tx 1921(was my
father) marr Emma LouEtta Rogers Burrell McCoy 1943, Kimble Co, son of
Ely Barney (E.B.) / Ruby Roberts McCoy, s/o Jasper Newton / Deliah
(Delia) Elizabeth Denison McCoy, s/o William N. / Nancy Elizabeth Ellison
McCoy (have more). Ely's brothers and sister married in and around the
same area: Elmer Lataine (Lee) b. 1877 Somervell Co.(marr #1 Ella Irene
Hughitt-two children (have more but not in front of me) #2 Carrie
Russell-two children), Eugene Arthur b.1879 Somervell Co (marr Mary Alice
Ledbetter-one child Virgil Eugene, dad was very close to Virgil growing
up, looking for him (Alice was a sister to William P. Ledbetter), Ethel
Asborne b. 1881, (marr William Penn Ledbetter, have 9-10 children),
Walter D., b. 1883, (marr Mary Roberts-sister to Ruby Roberts w/o E. B.,
Walter died early-no children listed), Hershel S., b. 1885 (marr Alva
Reynolds-have six children listed, (may be McReynolds). Ely Barney b.
1889 Somervell Co., (marr Ruby Roberts-have five children, Ovella McCoy
Brite 1916, Ina Beatrice McCoy Smith Andrews 1918, Willie D. McCoy 1921,
Sybil Lenora McCoy Liefeste 1924, Elvita B. McCoy Foltz, Earnest Arthur d.
approx. five yrs..
