Seguin boy injured in Vietnam
    Mr. and Mrs. Grover Miller, 402 W. Harper, Seguin, received a message from the Department of the Army that their son, Freddie L. Corley, had been wounded in action in Vietnam May 3,1966 when he stepped on a land mine.
    Freddie was air evacuated to the United States on May 9 and arrived at Brooke General Hospital, Fort Sam Houston, Texas on May 12.
    Both of young Freddie Corley's legs have been amputated below the knees.
    He has been awarded a Purple Heart for wounds received in action.  His present condition is considered satisfactory.
    Freddie is a bed patient and will undergo special treatment.  When his former schoolmates at Ball High School, from which he was graduated last May 1965, heard of his wish for a record player, the students, headed by the seniors, started a fund for such a purpose.
    Freddie has expressed a wish to hear from his former classmates and his friends.
    He is to be addressed by name, in care of Ward 43-A, Beach Pavilion, Brooke General Hospital, Fort Sam Houton, Texas.  
    Following his graduation last May, Freddie had served in the army of the United States for only seven months.
