surnames in the area and this is what I have come up with.. It may help someone
else researching their Braune family also.. Does this sound okay? 1. Andreas Christian Braune (his daughter, Ida married Richard Voss, son of Albert Voss, also my line.. Gerri Ward) b 10/19/1844 Altenweddingen, Germany d 6/12/1925, New Braunfels, Comal Co., TX 1st marriage to Maria Sophia Elizabeth Bergfeld b 1/7/1850 Altenweddingen, Germany d 6/14/1908, Guadalupe Co., TX married on 1868 in Germany. 2nd wife for Andreas was Johanna Memminger b 3/12/1854 Germany d 6/23/1916, New Braunfels, Comal Co.,TX married on 3/3/1911; 3rd wife for Andreas was Dora Schroeder b Goliad Co., TX married 9/5/1916.. 2.* Christian Heinrich Braune was born: 9/16/1825 in Altenweddingen, near Magdeburg, Germany and died: 8/20/1905 in Barbarosa, Texas. He married Fredericke Joachim Laddey, born: 7/23/1824, in Lagen-Wettingen, Germany. She died: 5/29/1904, Barbarosa, Texas. Both are buried in the Lone Oak Cemetery, (Frieden's Church cemetery) Barbarosa, Texas. * Christian Heinrich Braune's parents were Christian Henoch Braune born: 8/23/1801 Altenweddingen, Germany married on 8/14/1825 to Catherine Christiane Elisabeth Behrens born: abt 1803, Altenweddingen, Germany, the daughter of Joachim Behrens and Elisabeth Kessler. *Christian Henoch Braune's parents were: Friedrich Wilhelm Braune and Sophie Elisabeth Mueller married on 11/10/1778 in Altenweddingen, Germany.. Friedrich Wilhelm Braune's father was Andreas Braune was born abt. 1845 3.* Wilhelm Braune, Sr born: 2/7/1848 in Germany. He died: 2/14/1928 in Texas. His sister, Sophie F. Braune born: 1/9/1847 in Altonplatow, Saxony and died: 9/5/1923 in Texas. She married Gottlieb Karl Bauer. Their parents were: Christoph Braune, born: 3/28/1816 in Germany and died: 10/20/1882 buried in Guadalupe County, (Braune Cemetery) beside his wife, Sophie born: 1/26/1814 Altenplatow, near Magdeburg, Germany and died: 3/20/1891. 4.* Carl Gustav Braune born: 10/22/1861 in Altenweddingen, Germany and died: 7/15/1936 in Lockhart, Caldwell County, Texas. He was married on 2/24/1884 in Clear Springs, Guadalupe County, Texas to Fredericke Emma Wittenborn born: 9/26/1864 in West Frankfurt, Germany. She died: 12/7/1926 in Lockart, Caldwell County, Texas. 5. Jacob Braune --so far nothing on him.. 6. Frederick Andreas August "Fritz" Braune was born: 1850 in Leipzig, Germany and died: 12/21/1925 in Williamson County, Texas. He married Augusta Fuchs. It was mentioned that this Fritz had a brother, Wilhelm.. maybe the one listed above? * indicates information given to me from various Braune members also researching Braune's names .. mostly from *Mary Jane Neuse.. ( Andreas, Frederich Wilhelm,Christian Henoch, Christian Heinrich,sr and Chritian Heinrich, Jr line)..
