                                                 appeared J. R. Nigh,
applicant, and J. R. Bland & J. R. Kendall, witnesses to me known and after being duly sworn declare that J. R. Nigh is a bona fide settler upon recent public domain.  The same described in the accompanying file made in accordance with the provisions of an act to provide for the disposal of the public domain of the State of Texas, approved Aug. 4th, 1873.  That he is the head of a family and entitled to 160 acres of land.
